READING: Next week we will not be switching for reading. We will be reading two selections to compare and contrast along with reviewing the stories from the reading theme: The Art Lesson, Moses Goes to a Concert and The School Mural.
Vocabulary Words: athletic, circus, contraption, performance, pyramid, somersaults, ability, certificate, demonstration, intermediate, laps, paces
Spelling Words: We will not have a spelling list next week nor the following week. We will, however, review the words from the last three reading selections.
MATH: We finished patterns, measurement of length, capacity and weight. We will be covering fractions adding and subtracting three digit numbers along with reviewing place value up to hundreds and greater than/less than.
Science: We will begin our chapter on Motion.
HANDWRITING: We will continue to work on uppercase letters. We will be using cursive writing in our ABC journals. Please encourage your child to sit properly and to work carefully on handwriting homework. Thank you!
