Outside Recess! We WILL be going outside for recess on days when the temperature is above 20 degrees. If your child would like to play in the snow, he/she needs to have snow pants and boots. Any child who needs to stay inside for recess must have a doctor's note. Thank you for your cooperation!!

On Thursday, December 18th we will be visiting Fairview Village to sing Holiday Carols. We will be eating lunch later than usual, please send a sack lunch with your child!

READING: This week for reading we will be visiting 6 countries to learn how each one celebrates the holiday season. The children will be visiting China, Sweden, Israel, Mexico, England and Poland.
Spelling: The spelling words for this week will be holiday words.
MATH: We will be finishing Chapter 7 and taking our test this week. Please keep practicing subtracting facts with your second grader. Many of the children’s errors are computation errors.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We finished Unit 5 on Early America. This week we will be working on a mini project that focuses on Early Americans who have made history.
