READING/LANGUAGE ARTS: Next week we will not have a reading selection. We will be reading our pen-pal letters and responding using a friendly-letter format.MATH: We will be moving very quickly in math the next few weeks. We finished Chapter 14 and took our test on Friday. We will cover a chapter a week. If you feel that your child is struggling with a certain concept, please contact me as soon as possible.
The next chapter, Chapter 15, covers plane figures, congruent figures and lines of symmetry.
We will also be taking a mad minute every day.
The children have a chance to challenge themselves with “math mania”, salmon pages or gold pages. Look to see if your child has taken the challenge!
Science: Since we will not be switching next week, we will have an opportunity to be scientists. We will be working on labs for our Energy Unit.
HANDWRITING: We will be using cursive writing in our ABC journals. Please encourage your child to sit properly and to work carefully on handwriting homework. Thank you!
