READING: Next week we will not have a reading selection. The children will participate in a Reading/Writing Workshop. They will use the research they did at home to write about the animal they chose. We will pre-write, edit and write a final copy.
SPELLING: This week’s spelling words will include words from our Butterfly unit. There will be a blue sheet this week along with challenge words.
MATH: We took our Chapter 12 test. We will be starting a new chapter on Time. This week we will explore minutes/hours, tell time to 15 minutes, tell and show times to 5 minutes, and tell time as minutes before the hour.
Please keep practicing counting money with your child as well as practicing math facts.
Science: We will finish our mini Butterfly unit and pick up where we left off in our Unit on Forces and Motion.
HANDWRITING: We will begin uppercase cursive letters. Please encourage your child to sit properly and to work carefully on handwriting homework. Thank you!
