Character Counts!! We will be celebrating our pillar of the month on Fridays! This month we are celebrating “Caring”, so be sure your second grader wears red on Fridays!
Good Behavior Jar! The children are working towards a "Movie and Snack" Day!!
Parent/Teacher conferences will take place the week of November 26. Please be sure to mark your calendars!
Math: We will continue to practice counting with pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. We will also be adding the half dollar to count with. Please reinforce counting with money at home. Please be sure your child practices his/her math facts. We take our “mad minute” every Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Spelling: We will not have a spelling list for this week.
Reading/Language Arts: We will be taking the OLSATs this week. Please be sure you second grader gets plenty of rest and has a good lunch. We will be taking the test in the afternoon.
Social Studies: Tuesday will be the last day our Junior Achievement representative will be visiting our classroom. Mr. Rankin has taught the children about our government, taxes and how they are used, as well as how decisions are made in our community. We will also continue to study about our Earth and about how conservation is very important.
